Suprise Environmental Health inspection leaves everyone pleased!
We recently had a suprise visit by our Environmental Health Officer for an inspection. We are very pleased to see that the City Council takes its responsibility towards cleanliness so seriously and is carrying out suprise inspections, it gives our customers the ultimate confidence in our abilities. So..... we are very pleased to report that we scored maximum points in every category and retained our 5* rating. This is incredibly important to us and we are very proud of all the staff involved in reaching and maintaining this achievement. Its all too easy to let standards slip, but this is not the way we work and we hope that our persistent 5* rating confirms this to all our customers and potential customers.

ArtBeat 2014
Last years ArtBeat festival saw the first Friday night music night at Fingerprints. Chris Conway and Jim Tetlow played as 'Memory Wire' to a rapturous crowd who thoroughly enjoyed the set. Since then, Chris and Jim have dedicated the album of that session in memory of Gareth Carnall and have released prevously unseen footage of the event. You can order the CD by following the link below and can view the videos of the evening by clicking the link to You Tube.
This is what Memory Wire had to say about the event:
This was Memory Wire’s first whole concert as sole artists. The ArtBeat Festival agreed to promote it, and it was Gaz Carnall who agreed to host it at his cafe Fingerprints, our regular Memory
Wire meeting place. He hadn’t hosted music there before and didn’t know our work or genre, but made it happen with his enthusiasm and friendly help on the night. It was a special night and a full
house. We really wanted to give him a recording of the music from the concert, but tragically, Gaz did not live to receive it. So it is with gratitude that we name this album after his cafe and
dedicate the music to his memory.

UK Coffee Week - May 4th to May 10th 2015
This year Fingerprints will be joining hundreds of coffee shops taking part in UK Coffee Week, the purpose of which is to raise money and awareness for Project Waterfall, a charilty which provides clean water and sanitation to coffee farmers.
Get Involved - we donated 5p from every cup of coffee to Project Waterfall. We also donated the profits from every 'coffee' related cake item we sold. In addition, working in conjunction with Cocoa Amore of Silver Street, Leicester - we donated all proceeds of our chocolate coated coffee beans to the project.
***update - £165 raised - well done everyone! Thank you so much for supporting this.
To put it into real terms, that's 11 coffee farmers we've helped ***
In March 2014, after months of deliberating and thinking, Gareth finally decided to carry out a refurb he had designed. The shop was shut for 2 weeks and in that time he (and his family and friends!) worked hard on the new layout. Walls were knocked down and new walls created, floors laid and complete new furniture bought. The new design has revolutionised the Delicafe and staff and customers alike love it!
Gareth turns NekNominations on their head and is called a 'Local Hero' by leicester mercury!
Fingerprints - the official caterer for Leicester City Council's Richard the Third events
Fingerprints has been very involved in the events surrounding the recent discovery of the remains of Richard the Third. Many conventions and meetings have been held at the council offices and we were very happy to be part of a prestigious champagne reception.
The attention this discovery has brought to Leicester has been fantastic and we are thrilled to have been a part of it.
Civil Partnership
We have recently catered for a civil partnership and had a fabulous day too!

Outside catering......need something different?
We are unique and inventive and often cater for the charity VISTA (Improving the lives of the blind). We recently created a bespoke menu for their AGM, which contained tactile finger food to help the members feel what they were eating.
This was a great opportunity for us to be creative and help those with a disability enjoy the same great food as those without.
Contact us, if you need something a little more individual!
